What this site records about your visit, why, and for how long.

What is recorded

To learn which features are useful and to improve the paid plan, the site records a small set of events on its own server:

These are tied to a random identifier kept in a first-party cookie, fd_vid, and to your account once you sign in. That identifier is also how the site tells a first visit from a return visit.

If you pick a language in the header, that choice is kept in a second first-party cookie, fd_lang, holding only the language code (for example “pt”). Without it, the site picks the language from your browser's settings and, failing that, from the country of your connection -- looked up at that moment and not stored with it.

Free pages may show one clearly labelled sponsored or house slot. It is served from this site, like everything else: showing it and clicking it are counted the same way as a page view (which slot, which sponsor), and a click sends you to the sponsor's site with a tag naming this site as the source -- nothing about you goes with it. Pro pages show no ads at all.

What is not recorded

How long it is kept

Events are deleted automatically after 180 days. Your account data (email, name, subscription) is kept while your account exists.

IP geolocation by DB-IP, looked up on this site's own server; your address is not sent to DB-IP.

Other services

Sign-in is handled by Google and payments by Stripe, each under its own privacy policy. The site receives your email address and name from Google, and your subscription status from Stripe.

To answer a question the built-in engine can't, its text is sent to an AI model provider through OpenRouter, which turns it into a database query. Only the question goes -- never your name, email or account -- and only to providers that do not store or train on prompts.
